The Wonder-Terrace: Liverpool’s rooftop beer garden is ready for summer

Summer in Liverpool is finally on its way, and there’s no better time to head up to the Wonder-Terrace. Our rooftop garden sits a few storeys above Parr Street, looking out over Slater Street and the city beyond, and it’s exactly the kind of open-air spot the city has been short of. There aren’t many […]

Introducing The Pickleback: our most pickle-loaded burger ever

We’ve done a lot of things to a burger over the years. This might be the most unhinged. Meet The Pickleback, and consider yourself warned, because if you’re not a pickle person you should probably look away now. For everyone still here: this is pickle taken to its logical extreme and then pushed about three […]

✱ The story so far

A loud,
loaded,
13-year cult.

Almost Famous started in Manchester in 2012 with one obsession: a super juicy, drip-down-your-arms, no-nonsense burger. Two upstairs rooms above a Northern Quarter pub, a single griddle, and a queue that wouldn't go away.

Thirteen years and untold thousands of burgers later, we've opened our flagship Liverpool site on Parr Street, and built a cult around the kind of food you can't eat politely. After the brand's relaunch, we're back grilling and loading by popular demand.

What makes a Famous
burger Famous?

Every burger we build starts with the same obsession: a super juicy, drip-down-your-arms, no-nonsense burger. We don't dress it up, and we don't tone it down.

Five Generations
of Butchery

Altham's have been perfecting their craft since 1856. The brothers source whole cuts, then tear (not chop) them through their unique plate system — softer texture, juicier bite.

Breed, Maturity
& Flavour

Aberdeen Angus, Hereford and Shorthorn — heritage breeds chosen for depth of flavour, marbling and consistency. Hung the traditional way for around 14 days.
